Northern Ireland’s health department has announced another 1080 cases of covid in the past 24 hours.
There have been more than 5,100 new cases detected in the north over the past week.
The total number of cases confirmed in Northern Ireland is now 18,190.
The death toll stands at 587. There is now real talk of a lockdown occurring in the north.
