Phil Lynott’s statue just off Grafton Street in Dublin is to be moved for another 4 weeks of repair.
The legendary singer’s guitar has been smashed with half of it missing after a motorbike crashed into it this morning at approximately 7:30am.
It’s not the first time he had to go on a holiday from his statuesque resting place.
Over two years ago a couple of college students were “acting the lad” and accidentally damaged it at night. They later confessed to the Gardai who subsequently didn’t press charges after Phil’s mother very decently said “ah they were only having fun, no major harm done”.
Philomema has again been informed of the incident and has also been told that the driver has contacted Gardai of his own volition.
