Yesterday, there were altercations at the Racket Hall Hotel in Roscrea as demonstrators attempted to stop a bus that was transporting 17 people seeking asylum who had come under garda protection.
People with legitimate concerns that up to 160 male migrants will be planted in the hotel are braving cold conditions of up to -4c again tonight. They must be commended.
They say that they’ll continue their protest until there’s a just outcome for the community.
