Leo Varadkar has received a plethora of criticism after he was forced to apologise to the public who thought he didn’t take the matters raised at University Hospital Waterford seriously.
In a statement, Varadkar said that he apologises for his original remarks he made last week about the situation.
The Taoiseach, also said that he has received corroborating statements about the matter since his initial remarks.
He came under immense pressure after he said that claims of decomposing bodies being left on trolleys at the hospital’s mortuary were true, untrue or greatly exaggerated.
He also described the story as a strange story as there was no evidence to support the claims.
