The repair work on Notre Dame Cathedral could very well be a long and arduous process as historians and architects like will try to recreate what once was.

However the renovation of the iconic landmark could be given help from an unlikely source.

According to The Business Insider, the inside of the cathedral could be given a realistic representation in the form of a video game.

The publication states that the makers of Assassin’s Creed Unity, could have an accurate details as the game’s designers spent a total of two years studying the cathedral in order to place it in the game which is set in Paris.

Although Ubisoft have yet to comment on the situation, it is reported that one of the games lead designers Caroline Miousse, spent most of her time studying the architecture and historic elements of the cathedral in the game’s development.

The Business Insider say developers made the cathedral the main centre piece of the game hence its inclusion.
