Met Eireann say we’re not out of the woods yet – not by a long shot.
Between late last night and this evening, one metre of snow will fall across the east coast of Ireland. The heaviest snowfall will see accumalations of up to 1 metre from Co. Wexford right up to Co. Louth.
Met Eireann are monitoring the situation very closely and claim that with the massive snowfall from the beast from the east and the strong winds from storm Emma, snow that had already fallen on higher grounds will be blown down onto low lying areas.
It’s understood that blizzard conditions will continue today until at least 6pm where we will have another update.
