NPHET say it’s safe to sit in a cinema from June 7th but indoor dining isn’t safe until July

It’s beginning to look like NPHET literally have no idea what they’re doing or even talking about at this stage.

Phased reopening this, outdoor that, they’ve muddled people’s brains so much, it’s hard to keep up what they’ve decided they’ll allow the Irish public to do at all.

Perhaps the most ironic of “reopenings” is that of cinemas being allowed to reopen on June 7th, with people allowed watch films to whatever length they run to, 120 minutes for example, yet indoor dining isn’t “safe”, says NPHET until July.

Where do they get these dates from? Thin air it would seem!

They deem up to 50 people going into a closed cinema to be “safe”, yet professional restauranteurs who have gone above and beyond to ensure that their premise is professionally safe cannot reopen for another month? Where is the logic here?

Many on social media are calling out the Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan and his team over the ludicrous rules and regulations they’re suggesting be imposed on the Irish public.

With the threats of more lockdowns from Leo Varadkar and the scorn from Tony Holohan over people enjoying themselves in the sunshine, it would appear as though these rule makers could change their mind at any moment.
