The Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald has criticised the Taoiseach and the Government’s decision to cut PUP payments beginning from September.
Speaking in the Dail, McDonald said that the decision to reduce payments by €50 was very premature unfair.
McDonald also accused the Taoiseach and the Government from walking away from their responsibilities when it comes to those who lost their job.
The Sinn Fein leader told the Dail that there is serious concerns around the decision given that most of society won’t be back working by them.
She went on to say that the so called no cliff edge meant nothing to those who are depending on every single euro made available to them at present..
