Many on social media are claiming that it’s beginning to feel very much like fearmongering and scaremongering from both the government and NPHET.
Just when we see a minute glimmer of hope at the end of a very long locked-down tunnel, NPHET has warned the Irish public that it could be sniffed out before we even get there.
The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) has issued a dire warning, saying that daily coronavirus cases could quickly rise to 2,000 per day in just a few weeks.
The agency says that Ireland is in a ‘precarious’ situation right now.
The warning comes hours after the Government announced a partial lifting of some lockdown restrictions over the coming days.
What do you think? Are NPHET taking things a little too far? Are they spreading fear rather than hope?
