The number of people killed in a stampede during Soleimani’s funeral procession has risen to 56.
It is understood that over 1m million flooded the streets of Baghdad to join General Soleimani’s funeral procession, after his death as a result of an American drone strike on Friday.
What caused the stampede remains unknown. Over 200 people were injured.
Iranians have vowed revenge against the United States in the aftermath of Soleimani’s death.
