The number of people in Intensive Care Units across the country has fallen to 59.
According to latest figures the number of people with Covid-19 in ICU has dropped to 59 from 160 at the beginning of April.
Although the latest numbers have been described as a step in the right direction, the Minister for Health Simon Harris has warned that the public must remain careful in order to that number falling.
Harris said that although that number could easily change, our challenge is to keep the number of cases down and in order to do that we must continue to implement social distancing measures.
