
After stating in an internet video that she would not treat Israeli patients, a Sydney nurse was charged with uttering threats, reports Breaking News.
According to a police statement, 26-year-old Sarah Abu Lebdeh was taken into custody Tuesday evening and charged with federal crimes include threatening violence against a group, threatening to murder someone using a carrier service, and threatening and harassing someone using a carriage service.
The maximum penalty for the offences was 22 years in jail, reports Breaking News.
In order to appear in court in Sydney on March 19, Abu Lebdeh was granted bail.
Because of an online conversation with Israeli influencer Max Veifer the previous evening, the accused and another nurse, Ahmed Rashid Nadir, were suspended from Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital on February 12, reports Breaking News.
Nadir implied that he had murdered Israelis, while Abu Lebdeh declared that she would not care for Israeli patients.
Police have not yet interrogated Nadir, reports Breaking News.
There was no proof that the nurses had injured patients, according to the hospital’s review of patient data.
