A nurse has shared the story of her miraculous escape from her damaged automobile that was driven over by a horse, reports The Mirror.

The animal leaped on Martina Murray’s car, shattering the glass, and she stated her life “flashed before me” (see below).

While travelling to work, Martina, a resident of Letterkenny, County Donegal, said, “suddenly out of nowhere a black horse hit my car.”

Its hooves “hit my side of the windscreen, leaving it shattered on top of me,” the woman said. Then it withdrew and struck my car entirely on the left,” reports The Mirror.

Martina expressed her gratitude to the three individuals that arrived in the Castlefin area’s Carnowen neighbourhood.

She said on Facebook: “To say I was shocked was an understatement and as I write this now… I am very lucky and grateful to be alive. My greatest fear was that the horse was killed but thankfully it wasn’t. I am okay thank God apart from a few scratches and bruises and I’m very sore…,” reports The Mirror.
