O’Gorman says climate change is paramount as major rain warning in place for 18 counties this morning




Starting early on Tuesday morning, 18 counties will be under a yellow rain warning, reports Breaking News.

Leinster as a whole, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Tipperary, and Waterford are among the counties impacted.

Rain will occasionally become heavy and persistent, according to Met Éireann. Localised floods, hazardous driving conditions, and low visibility are possible effects.

The alert is in effect from Tuesday at 4 a.m. to Wednesday at 4 a.m, reports Breaking News.

Tuesday morning is mostly overcast with periods of rain and drizzle. Throughout the day, the southeast, east, and northeast will see the most persistent rain and drizzle, with the potential for spot flooding.

Driest towards the west and southwest, particularly as the day wears on and bright periods start to form. The west has the hottest temperatures, ranging from 15 to 20 degrees, with mainly moderate, but sometimes fresh, northeasterly breezes.

According to Met Éireann, low pressure will initially rule this week, bringing further rain and showers. later in the week, starting to get drier and more settled, reports Breaking News.
