Irish Water has issued a statement saying that further boil water notices ‘cannot be ruled out’.
Upwards of 600,000 customers across Dublin, Kildare, and Meath were forced to boil their water for eight days, for the second time in two weeks.
The problem arose when rain caused issues at the aging Leixlip Water Treatment Plant.
