Speaking on tonight’s Late Late Show, Dublin woman Jessica Bowes spoke about the horror story she endured from an abusive relationship.
Initially, she said that her boyfriend was very lovable and doting on her, but that soon turned into awful abuse where he physically battered, bruised and belittled her.
The mother-of-three said that she felt trapped by the man after he quickly became a control freak.
He ended up beating her black and blue at 3am one Christmas week from the man. She said that women can’t just leave, it’s not easy. They’re trapped, they have kids and it’s not easy.
Jessica went into gruesome and graphic details as to what the man did to her, including punching and kicking her until she was unconscious.
She said that to herself on the final beating “oh my God, I’m bleeding, I’m dying”.
Eventually the man got a 22-month jail term and €150,000 compensation fine.
