Oireachtas committee hears some Apple workers heard private conversations through Siri

Some Apply workers in the Cork plant can sometimes hear private conversations that were recorded to Apply devices such as iPhones and iPads because of Siri, the automatic voice assistant being activated accidentally, an Oireachtas committee has heard.

According to RTE, Apple’s company’s Director of Privacy Compliance, Gary Davis told the Oireachtas Communications Committee that the company is working to minimise such mistakes but that it has happened.

Apple claim that they are taking concerns by using and government bodies very seriously. Some 6,000 people are currently working at the Apple plant in Cork – one of the biggest employers in the country.
