A cafe hosting a freedom of speech event in the Danish city of Copenhagen was targeted today, leaving one dead and several injured.
At least 30 bullets tore through the windows of the Krudttoenden cafe as the event took place.
The event’s organizer, 68-year-old Swedish artist Lars Vilks, has previously faced multiple threats against his life for caricaturing the Prophet Muhammad.
The attackers fled the scene on a dark-coloured Volkswagen Polo shortly before 4pm local time.
