The Gare de l’Est train station in Paris had to be evacuated earlier this morning after a bomb threat.
The station is one of several main stations in Paris, and it serves cities in eastern Paris and countries to the east.
This incident comes less than twenty four hours after two militants were killed in a police raid in Belgium yesterday. The men were reportedly set to launch a terrorist attack in the very near future.
Authorities across France and elsewhere have been on edge since the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris last week, and there is a heightened awareness on terrorist activity across the continent.
