One person has been killed after a car collided with a stray horse in Co. Monaghan.
The incident happened on the N2 at Creevy near Carrickmacross on Saturday night.
A male occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people sustained non life-threatening injuries. The horse was killed in the collision.
