One person has been left in a critical condition in hospital following an assault in the capital overnight.
The incident happened shortly before 11pm at the junction of Foley Street and Buckingham Street Lower.
The victim, a male in his 30s, was critically injured.
A male in his 30s has been arrested in connection with this incident.
