Online anger as Phil Hogan, the man who tried to introduce water charges to the Irish people, gets huge EU job

‘Big’ Phil Hogan has managed to get a first place ticket on the EU gravy train after he managed to land an enormous job this week.

Hogan was confirmed as the EU’s next trade commissioner by an EU executive on Tuesday. 59-yr-old Hogan did his best to introduce water charges which would have squeezed the Irish people dry, excuse the pun.

He’ll be the new EU chief trade negotiator if and when free-trade negotiations commence between the EU and the UK after Brexit. However many people feel that it’s utterly disgraceful that politicians can run off to Brussels and get a top job with a massive salary.
