The Orange warning is in place for counties Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, and Kerry.
A less severe Yellow wind warning is also in effect for the entire country.
