Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation following the alleged sexual assault of a young woman in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood the investigation comes after an 18-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted on Poolbeg stree at approximately 1.30am this morning.
Gardai say the young woman reported the incident to officers at Pearse Street Garda Station a short time later.
They also say a technical examination has taken place at the scene which is located close to Tara Street DART Station.
