
Former South Korean President Park Geun-hye has been handed down a 24-year jail sentence after being found guilty on multiple counts of abuse of power.
The 66-year-old ex President faced a litany of charges of corruption, bribery, coercion, etc., incurred during her time in office.
Park, South Korea’s first ever female President, was impeached and ousted in 2017 after months of popular protests.
