‘Big Phil’ Hogan resigned from his role as EU Trade Commissioner of his own volition, according to an interview on RTE News.
Hogan tendered his resignation on Wednesday evening following on from questions over his appearance at Oireachtas Golf society event last week.
Hogan handed in his letter of resignation to EU President Ursula von der Leyen and alluded to this being the end of the 60-yr-old’s political career.
