Following three consecutive months of declining fuel costs, the most recent AA Ireland Fuel Survey indicates a little uptick in November’s petrol and diesel prices, reports RTE.
Diesel prices have climbed by one cent to €1.67 per litre, while petrol prices have increased by two cents to an average of €1.73 per litre, according to AA Ireland.
However, crude oil prices decreased little, averaging about $72 per barrel, in spite of these gains, reports RTE.
In the meanwhile, owners of electric vehicles should budget an average of €808.64 annually to travel 17,000 km annually.
Fuel costs at the pump are somewhat higher this month, mostly due to various prices at different shops around the nation, according to Jennifer Kilduff, Head of Marketing & PR for the AA (Ireland).
However, she said that there was good news for EV drivers since Electric Ireland’s cuts went into effect on November 1.
“Shopping around for the best energy provider rates, making use of home charging if you can and using night rates will further decrease running costs,” she added, reports RTE.
