There’s been public outrage on social media after it was made public that Taxi fares are to increase across Ireland by a massive 12% from September 1.
Many people are saying that the government are doing little to nothing to stop the out-of-control cost of living crisis that the country is currently facing.
From that day, the standard initial charge increases from €3.80 to €4.20.
The initial charge during premium periods (8pm-8am and Sundays and public holidays) will rise from €4.20 to €4.80.
