Over 1 million people in the UK are experiencing so-called ‘long COVID’, claims new survey




As winter approaches, it’s expected that more daily case number could increase and see things getting very sticky for a roadmap to exit the pandemic.

Over 1m people across the UK are experiencing ‘long COVID’ symptoms, according to a new survey.

The survey, conducted by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), reveals that 1.1m people report Covid-1ike symptoms long after initial infection. In the UK, ‘long COVID’ is defined as symptoms that last for more than four weeks after individuals first suspect they are infected, and these symptoms cannot be explained by anything else.

The most common symptoms reported are fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of smell, and ‘brain fog.’
