Up to 150 migrants are feared to have drowned after a boat they were travelling in capsized off the coast of Libya.
In what has been described as one of the worst tragedies of the year, UN High Commissioner Flippo Grandi confirmed that 150 people are missing.
The tragedy which occurred 120km East of Tripoli, also saw 147 people rescued after which was travelling with the other vessel got into difficulties.
Although rescue missions are ongoing, the UN have confirmed that only one body has been recovered since the vessel sank on Thursday.
The latest tragedy now brings the total of migrant deaths at sea in 2019, to over 600.
