According to reports this morning it is looking ever more likely that secondary schools across the country will not open their doors this Monday, as a row over pay and conditions rumbles on.
The news which will come as a blow to both students and parents comes after another round of negotiations between the Department of Education and the ASTI broke down yesterday.
Although talks are set to resume later today it is looking ever more likely 400 schools will not be open on Monday morning, with further strike action looming.
Meanwhile the Education Minister Richard Bruton also warned of indefinite strike action resulting in schools being closed for a number of days over the coming weeks.
