Overcrowding hits new highs across Dublin hospitals as it emerges that 100 children were forced to suffer on trolleys during the month of October

The shameful scourge of hospital overcrowding shows no signs of abating, after new figures revealed that 100 children were left languishing on trolleys across Dublin hospitals during the month of October.

University Hospital Limerick once again topped the overcrowding list, with a total of 1,450 people abandoned on trolleys.

Unions have warned that such third-world levels of overcrowding pose a ‘grave risk’ to patient safety.
