23-yr-old Alegranto Kongolo to appear in court in December for allegedly ramming his car into another man in Citywest




A student appeared in court last week following a car accident at a shopping centre and is due to reappear on December 19th.

23-yr-old Alegranto Kongolo, a computer science student, is accused of smashing his car against another man.

The attack was reported last Wednesday at 5:30pm at the Citywest mall in Dublin.

According to the Sun, the Dublin District Court was told that Kongolo had been “caught red handed” at the place where he had been arrested, with CCTV footage shown.

Garda Daniel McFeeley told the court that Kongolo had “fully acknowledged the crimes”.

The Garda also revealed that the suspect “hoping to fly to Dubai” and had booked a plane ticket for 10pm the night of the attack.

The court heard that the suspect knew the injured party, Israel Olamidekun.

The four counts against Kongolo are: assault causing harm, endangerment, criminal damage and production of a clawhammer.

The Dublin District Court heard that the sentences range from five to ten years.

It’s understood that Kongolo has already been issued five previous arrest warrants.
