The owner of a missing Eurasian eagle owl has issued a warning to residents in Kildare, saying that the animal may pose a risk to pets and small children.
It is understood that the owl, named Tank, went missing from its home in Curragh, Kildare, in recent days. The breed can reach a wingspan of over 6 ft, and has powerful talons that can kill a deer.
Tank’s owner says that if people spot it, they should not try to approach it or pick it up, but call Gardai or relevant authorities.
