According to new Government plans, owners of new homes built from 2013 onwards will now have to pay Local Property Tax.
Also, some 33% of people who already pay the tax will now have to pay up to €100 more per year.
The moves are part of the Government’s financing plans for a €3.5bn ‘recovery’ plan for the economy.
