Packs of wild boars are roaming the streets of Rome searching for food as the city’s rubbish collection problems get worse.
The Eternal City has seen its fair share of human foes throughout the ages, but a new kind of adversary has now breached Rome’s walls. Large packs of wild boars are regularly seen roaming the streets rummaging around the chronically overflowing rubbish bins.
Boars can also pose a threat to young children and the elderly, as adult specimens can weigh up to 100kg.
