The Government’s announcement that frontline healthcare workers will receive a once-off pandemic bonus of €1000 has gotten a mixed reaction.
For those frontline workers who qualify for the payment, it comes as a welcome bonus after the Christmas spending.
But there has been anger among other sectors as people are asking why various other groups won’t get the payment. GPs, home carers, pharmacy workers, frontline staff in private hospitals and many others feel left out, taking to social media to air their feelings.
