The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has said that the Government will look to phase out pandemic payments from the beginning of October.
According to RTE News, Varadkar told a parliamentary committee that the payments will continue through June, July, August and September.
Although the Tanaiste did state that there will be no cliff edge for the payments and the extra time will give the economy a chance to recover.
He added that plans on the payments are expected to be signed off by the Cabinet next week.
