PAPAL VISIT: 100,000 people cheered, waved and greeted Pope Francis in Dublin’s city centre

The Papal Visit has been an amazing occasion so far. Pope Francis appears to have more energy than any other 82-yr-old out there.

He had a total of 6 engagements yesterday with arguably his trip in his Popemobile through the streets of Dublin city centre being the most incredible.

Pope Francis turned on O’Connell St at 4:15pm to cheers, waving and greetings from 100,000 people who lined the streets, up to 20 people deep, right through to the Capuchin centre.

He was then greeted by some 82,500 in Croke Park and will be welcomed by up to 600,000 later today in the Phoenic Park for Mass. What a visit in some 36-hours! Welcome indeed, Pope Francis!
