Paper £20 and £50 notes will no longer be accepted as legal tender from today.
From today, only polymer £20 and £50 notes can be used for commercial transactions.
Those people still in possession of paper notes will be able to exchange them for polymer ones at the Bank of England in London or specially designated post offices across the UK.
