“We’re doing all we can” – Government attempt to stand over 3,200 Irish children being homeless in Ireland

The government say that they’re doing all they can to combat the homeless crisis in Ireland, even though 3,200 Irish children are homeless adding up to close to 11,000 Irish people in total sleeping on park benches, shop doorways and hotel rooms around the country.

In what can only be described as a truly horrendous state of affairs in the country, Ireland now has close to 11,000 of our own people homeless, with many believing that the government is sweeping the problem under the carpet.

The number of people in emergency accommodation across Ireland keeps growing, even as the Government aims to house up to 60,000 Ukrainian refugees by the end of the year, though the refugees themselves are not to blame. Rather, it is the Irish Government’s fault for bringing them here in the first place.

The official number in August was 10,805, an increase of 200 from the previous month. The true figure however is probably far higher.

It is unclear what the bumbling Government’s thinking was in allowing so many refugees when Irish society is plagued by homelessness.
