Parent’s appeal for help to give terminally ill son a last Christmas

4-year-old Sebastian McLoughlin has just weeks left to live.

He was a normal and healthy boy until January last, when he began suffering from severe vomiting and blinding headaches. He subsequently began squinting, and a MRI scan revealed he had a golf ball-sized tumour inside his head.

Sebastian underwent a gruelling operation and doctors were confident they had removed the majority of the tumour. He then had chemotherapy, but symptoms returned a few weeks later.

His parents have now been told that their son has weeks left to live.

Sebastian’s favourite time of year is Christmas, and his parents want to give him a last day of celebration, but they need help.

They intend to bring Christmas forward to this Saturday, and have already sourced a snow machine, and are now appealing for help finding a sleigh and possibly some reindeer, or an inflatable Santa’s grotto.

Anyone who may be able to help can contact Ray D’Arcy, who has agreed to help the family, by emailing [email protected].
