Parents concerned as Teachers Union claims that ‘It won’t be safe to return to schools in September,’

Parents say that they’re extremely concerned as to what way the new school year will look and just whether it will or won’t be safe for their child to return to the classroom in September.

‘It won’t be safe to return to schools in September,’ according to teacher’s union.

The Association of Secondary Teachers in Ireland (ASTI) has said that, if social distancing measures are still in place, half the classroom will remain empty, which means ‘part-time students.’

There are plans to reopen schools for the next academic year, but questions remain about social distancing and other measures.
