Paris Terrorist Attacks: U2 attend Bataclan Concert Hall to pay their respects to those who lost their lives

Legendary rock band U2 have paid their respects to the victims of the horrific Paris attacks.

Band members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen were pictured placing wreaths and floral tributes in honour of the victims, near the scene of the Bataclan Concert Hall on Saturday evening. It is understood the band stayed for a short while after placing their floral tributes at the memorial. The band also read out tributes which paid homage to those who sadly lost their lives in the atrocity. The rockers mark of respect comes after they were due to play two shows at the Bercy Arena over the weekend, but they were subsequently cancelled due to security concerns.

Meanwhile lead singer Bono vowed that the group will return to the city and perform. Bono told the RTE’s Dave Fanning show: “U2 has a role to play. We can’t wait to get back to Paris to play.” “That’s the feeling we’ve been getting from music fans. These people will not set our agenda.”
