
Paul Kelly has resigned from his post as CEO of Console, and the suicide-prevention charity’s board has appointed an independent assessor to investigate claims of financial irregularities at the organization.
Patricia Kelly, Mr. Kelly’s wife, has also resigned from their directors’ positions in the wake of the latest scandal to hit an Irish charity.
A Prime Time investigation has uncovered a string of financial irregularities and “misrepresentations” in relation to directors’ pay not declared to Revenue, a board of directors mostly composed of family members, and other dubious affairs.
