Penneys has announced that it will trial out ‘gender-neutral’ fitting rooms across two stores in the UK.
The Irish retailer, which trades as Primark in the UK and elsewhere, has confirmed that two new stores at Bluewater in Kent and Hastings, Sussex, will have ‘unisex’ changing rooms.
The company said that the move is in response to feedback from transgender customers who were challenged while entering fitting rooms.
