People pay tribute to Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who has passed away aged 90




People are today paying tribute to Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who has passed away aged 90.

Mr. Tutu was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his campaign against white minority rule in South Africa. He was instrumental in ending the repressive apartheid system in the country.

He had suffered from ill health for some time, though the cause of death has not yet been revealed.
