Macron has been forced into an embarrassing climb down from his bid to introduce Orwellian new lockdown measures aimed at those who refuse the Covid-19 vaccine.
Macron has announced his plans to introduce mandatory ‘health passes’ for all restaurants, bars, hospitals, shopping malls, trains, planes and other venues.
These passes include data on Covid test results and vaccination status and are no too dissimilar to the Martin-Varadkar government’s plans for a vaccine cert here without which Irish citizens will remain bereft of many basic civil liberties.
This past weekend the people of France mobilised in their hundreds of thousands in the streets and forced the French government to back down in what human rights activists are calling a lesson for all peoples.
