People responsible for the closure of Dublin-New York portals have ‘let us all down’, claims Paschal Donohoe




Minister for Public Expenditure Paschal Donohoe claimed that those who acted inappropriately and caused a streaming link between Dublin and New York to be momentarily shut down “let us all down,” reports The Mirror.

The video screen gateway that connects the capital of Ireland with New York has been put on hold while work to resolve the issues facing the installation continue.

The Dublin City Council said that the site will be shut down at 10 p.m. on Tuesday after finding that the “preferred solution” employing blurring was insufficient, reports The Mirror.

A tiny percentage of people, according to the council, have participated in “inappropriate behaviour” that has gained traction on social media. This activity includes flashing body parts and posting insulting photographs.

While there have only been a few instances of improper conduct, according to Public Expenditure Minister Paschal Donohoe, it is nevertheless having an effect. Additionally, he disregarded claims that the individuals involved were from the city’s northern inner districts, reports The Mirror.

“I don’t accept the premise that everybody who was involved in that behaviour came from the north inner city. That is an assumption that I don’t accept,” he said, reports The Mirror.
