Tesco Ireland recalls own-brand product as it ‘may contain glass pieces’

A Tesco own-brand product had a recall notice issued because of concerns that it could contain glass fragments, reports The Mirror.

A warning about a certain batch of Tesco Sandwich Pickles was released today by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.

The well-known condiment is created with finely chopped veggies and is usually used to improve the taste of meat, cheese, and sandwiches, reports The Mirror.

Due to the possibility of glass, one batch has been withdrawn from sale, and consumers are being urged not to eat it.

The FSAI said: “The above batch of Tesco Sandwich Pickle is being recalled by Tesco due to the possible presence of glass pieces. Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale in Tesco Stores. Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batch from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale. Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batch,” reports The Mirror.
